WS2 Soda Firing Kiln Space

This purchase option is exclusively available to individuals who have previously taken the Soda Firing Workshop at Jane’s Art Center or have substantial experience with atmospheric kilns and high-firing glazes.

Each available space will accommodate work up to 12 inches in height. This means that the flat surface you choose can hold pieces (pots or sculptures) that are up to 12 inches tall. For taller pieces, please reach out to us for additional guidance.

The soda kiln will be fired either after a workshop is completed or when the glaze shelves in the kiln room are filled—whichever occurs first. Please check the workshop schedule to determine the next firing date, as this will give you the most accurate estimate for when the kiln will be fired. Once you purchase a space, a label will be placed on the soda glaze shelves in the kiln room to mark the space you’ve reserved. Please allow up to 48 hours for your space assignment to be finalized.
